Responsibilities
- Research and draft comprehensive environmental policies aligned with state and federal regulations
- Analyze legislative impacts and recommend evidence-based regulatory changes
- Coordinate inter-agency initiatives on climate action and sustainability programs
- Develop public outreach materials to enhance community engagement
- Conduct compliance audits for industrial facilities statewide
- Prepare detailed reports for legislative briefings and stakeholder presentations
- Lead cross-functional working groups on emerging environmental challenges
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Public Policy, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years experience in environmental regulation or policy development
- Expert knowledge of California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and federal Clean Air Act
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (GIS, R, or Python)
- Strong stakeholder management and public speaking abilities
- Valid California driver's license with clean record
- Proven track record of managing multi-year environmental projects
