Responsibilities
- Process veteran benefit applications and documentation with 99% accuracy within strict federal deadlines
- Coordinate cross-agency communications with VA regional offices and community partners
- Manage sensitive veteran records using VA's secure information systems (VBMS, VBA)
- Conduct eligibility verifications for federal programs including healthcare and education benefits
- Prepare comprehensive administrative reports for senior leadership review
- Support outreach initiatives connecting veterans with federal resources
- Maintain compliance with 38 CFR and other federal regulations
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years administrative experience in federal/government environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) and VA systems
- Active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain within 30 days
- US citizenship required with clean background investigation
- Ability to handle confidential information with utmost discretion
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with federal procurement processes (FAR/DFARS)
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks in high-pressure situations
