Responsibilities
- Manage and process federal employee benefit claims, ensuring strict adherence to OPM regulations and agency policies.
- Analyze complex payroll and benefits data to resolve discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
- Provide exceptional customer service to federal staff, answering inquiries regarding health, retirement, and leave benefits.
- Collaborate with HR and payroll departments to streamline the benefits administration workflow.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation and records for federal audits and compliance reviews.
- Assist in the onboarding process for new federal hires, explaining benefit packages clearly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in federal benefits administration, payroll, or human resources.
- Deep knowledge of federal government regulations, including FERS and CSRS systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex policy documents.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, SAP).
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for on-site meetings in downtown Chicago.
