Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize federal employee benefit programs including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies
- Provide expert guidance to employees on eligibility, enrollment, and claims processes
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations (FEGLI, TSP, FSA) and update protocols quarterly
- Analyze benefit utilization data to recommend cost-effective improvements
- Collaborate with HR teams on open enrollment campaigns and benefit communications
- Maintain confidential employee records with zero-error documentation standards
- Develop training materials for new hires on federal benefit systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years experience with federal employee benefits (FEGLI, TSP, FSA)
- SHRM-SCP or PHR certification preferred
- Advanced proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors)
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to regulatory compliance
- Strong written communication for policy documentation
- Proven ability to manage confidential employee data securely
- Remote work experience with self-directed time management
