Responsibilities
- Administer federal employee benefit programs including health, life, and retirement plans
- Provide expert guidance on complex benefit regulations and compliance requirements
- Process enrollment changes and resolve employee benefit inquiries
- Develop and deliver benefit training sessions for staff and management
- Analyze program effectiveness and recommend improvements to benefit offerings
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams on budget forecasting for benefits
- Ensure adherence to OPM guidelines and federal regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience with federal benefits programs (FEHB, TSP, FERS)
- Knowledge of OPM regulations and federal HR policies
- Certified Federal Benefits Consultant (CFBC) or SHRM-SCP preferred
- Strong analytical skills with experience in benefits administration systems
- Excellent communication abilities for employee training and consultation
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and integrity
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass federal background check
