Responsibilities
- Administer and process federal veteran benefit claims with 99% accuracy
- Conduct eligibility assessments for VA healthcare and disability programs
- Develop benefit optimization strategies for veteran populations
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams on policy implementation
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for congressional oversight
- Train stakeholders on federal benefits regulations and updates
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA and federal privacy laws
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- 3+ years federal benefits administration experience
- VA-accredited claims specialist certification required
- Expert knowledge of 38 CFR and federal benefits regulations
- Advanced proficiency in VA systems (VBMS, VBA-Net)
- Top Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Experience with veteran-focused community outreach programs
