Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Administer Federal Benefits: Process and review benefits applications for federal employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with OPM guidelines.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional support to federal staff via phone, email, and in-person inquiries regarding health insurance, retirement, and leave.
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all documentation meets strict federal and agency standards and audit records regularly.
- Data Management: Maintain and update employee records in federal databases (e.g., HRIS systems) with high attention to detail.
- Policy Interpretation: Interpret complex federal regulations and explain them clearly to employees and supervisors.
- Training & Orientation: Assist in onboarding new hires by explaining the federal benefits package and HR policies.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Requirements
- US Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen to apply for federal positions.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR administration, benefits processing, or customer service.
- Knowledge of Federal Systems: Familiarity with federal HR systems (e.g., E-Verify, USAJOBS) is highly desirable.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for this role.
