Responsibilities
- Manage Federal Benefits Administration: Process and review federal employee benefit claims, enrollment forms, and retirement packages with high accuracy.
- Weekend Support: Provide specialized support and inquiries resolution specifically for federal employees working the weekend shift.
- Compliance: Ensure all federal regulations and agency guidelines are strictly followed regarding benefits and compensation.
- Employee Counseling: Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions to explain complex benefits packages to federal employees.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed and confidential electronic and physical records of all employee interactions and benefit transactions.
- System Management: Utilize HRIS systems (e.g., iCIMS, Workday) to update employee status and benefit elections.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in federal benefits administration, HR, or a related government sector role.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) as part of the standard shift rotation.
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance is required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software platforms.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex policies to diverse audiences.
