Responsibilities
- Process Weekly Payroll & Benefits: Accurately calculate and distribute weekly paychecks to federal contractors while processing enrollment and changes to health, dental, and retirement benefits.
- Client Consultation: Serve as the primary point of contact for federal employees regarding benefit inquiries, ensuring clarity and compliance with agency regulations.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to federal guidelines (OPM, VA, GSA) and internal company policies regarding data privacy and reporting.
- Data Management: Maintain up-to-date, confidential records for all assigned personnel using modern HRIS software and database systems.
- Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve discrepancies in pay or benefits claims efficiently, escalating complex issues to senior management when necessary.
- Reporting: Prepare weekly and monthly reports regarding workforce metrics, benefits utilization, and payroll accuracy for management review.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in administrative support, payroll processing, or federal benefits administration.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with Federal Employees' Compensation Act (FECA) and other federal compensation guidelines is highly desirable.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ability to learn new HR software quickly.
- Attributes: Strong attention to detail, exceptional time management skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications: PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus but not mandatory.
