Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations (VA, OMB, GAO) for veteran benefit programs
- Conduct remote audits of regional benefit offices and contractor operations
- Develop corrective action plans for compliance deficiencies
- Collaborate with DOJ and IG offices on investigations
- Train regional staff on regulatory updates via virtual sessions
- Prepare quarterly compliance reports for congressional oversight
- Lead cross-agency task force initiatives for veterans' services
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Law, or related field
- 3+ years federal compliance experience (VA preferred)
- Active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Proficiency in GAO audit methodologies
- Experience with federal procurement regulations (FAR)
- Remote work certification from federal agency
- Knowledge of veterans' benefits programs (e.g., VBA, VHA)
- Valid U.S. driver's license (for occasional site visits)
