Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret federal regulations (VA, OMB, DoD) affecting veteran services
- Conduct compliance audits and risk assessments across departmental operations
- Develop and implement compliance training programs for staff
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for regulatory bodies and senior leadership
- Collaborate with legal and policy teams to update compliance frameworks
- Respond to compliance inquiries from veterans and stakeholders
- Lead cross-functional compliance improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Law, or related field required
- Minimum 3 years experience in federal compliance or regulatory affairs
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Proficiency with federal procurement regulations (FAR/DFARS)
- Advanced knowledge of veterans' benefits administration
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written communication with report-writing experience
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
