Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive audits of veteran benefit programs
- Interpret and implement federal regulations (VA, HIPAA, FERPA)
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for agency leadership
- Collaborate with legal teams on regulatory updates
- Train staff on compliance protocols
- Manage documentation retention systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration or related field
- 3+ years federal compliance/regulatory experience
- Active Secret security clearance
- Proficiency in VA-specific systems (VBA, VISTA)
- Expert knowledge of 38 CFR and 5 CFR regulations
- Project management certification preferred
- Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
