Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce federal transportation regulations across Milwaukee County
- Conduct compliance audits of local government transportation projects
- Prepare detailed regulatory reports for federal stakeholders
- Collaborate with state DOT officials on policy implementation
- Investigate non-compliance incidents and recommend corrective actions
- Train municipal staff on federal safety standards
- Maintain accurate compliance documentation databases
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 3 years regulatory compliance experience
- Federal or state government background strongly preferred
- Expert knowledge of DOT regulations (49 CFR)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written communication and report-writing skills
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license
- Ability to obtain federal security clearance
