Responsibilities
- Monitor and implement federal healthcare regulations (HIPAA, VA directives)
- Conduct internal audits and compliance risk assessments
- Develop corrective action plans for regulatory violations
- Train staff on compliance protocols and documentation standards
- Liaise with OIG and other federal oversight agencies
- Maintain compliance databases and reporting systems
- Advise leadership on policy changes and regulatory updates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Law, or related field
- 3+ years federal compliance experience (VA/DOD preferred)
- Active Secret security clearance
- Certified Healthcare Compliance Officer (CHCO) certification
- Expert knowledge of 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPAA regulations
- Advanced proficiency in compliance tracking software (e.g., HealthCompliance)
- Exceptional analytical and report-writing skills
- US citizenship required
