Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility regulations during overnight shifts
- Conduct regular security rounds and surveillance of housing units
- Respond to emergencies, disturbances, and medical incidents
- Maintain accurate incident reports and security documentation
- Operate security systems including CCTV and control room equipment
- Perform inmate counts and perimeter checks every 30 minutes
- Collaborate with day-shift staff during transition periods
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Pass federal background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret security clearance
- Completion of Federal Law Enforcement Training (FLETC) or equivalent
- Experience with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
- Physical ability to restrain inmates and climb stairs regularly
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and security software systems
