Responsibilities
- Monitor and supervise inmate activities to ensure facility security and compliance with regulations
- Conduct regular patrols and headcounts to maintain order and prevent contraband
- Respond to emergencies, incidents, and medical situations with appropriate protocols
- Document daily operations, incidents, and inmate behavior in official records
- Enforce federal laws, facility policies, and disciplinary procedures
- Operate security systems, gates, and emergency equipment
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a safe correctional environment
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and valid driver's license
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 1 year security or corrections experience
- Ability to pass background check, medical exam, and fitness test
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work rotating night shifts and weekends
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation systems
- Valid CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
