Responsibilities
- Monitor and supervise inmates in a federal correctional facility ensuring security protocols
- Conduct regular perimeter inspections and security checks to prevent contraband
- Respond to emergencies and incidents with de-escalation techniques
- Document inmate activities and facility incidents accurately in official reports
- Enforce institutional rules and regulations with professionalism
- Coordinate with medical, mental health, and rehabilitation staff for inmate welfare
- Participate in continuous training programs to maintain operational readiness
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and valid driver's license
- Minimum of 1 year correctional or law enforcement experience
- Ability to pass rigorous background check and medical examination
- Successful completion of Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) program
- Strong conflict resolution and crisis intervention skills
- Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays as scheduled
- Physical fitness to pass annual fitness assessment
- Proficient in security systems and emergency protocols
