Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce institutional policies to maintain security and order
- Conduct regular perimeter and facility security inspections
- Respond to emergencies and incidents using de-escalation tactics
- Document daily operations and incident reports with precision
- Screen visitors, mail, and packages for contraband
- Participate in inmate count and movement protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare and rehabilitation staff
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and valid driver's license
- Minimum 21 years of age
- No felony convictions and clean criminal background
- Ability to pass physical fitness assessment and medical examination
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Basic computer proficiency for reporting systems
- Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays
