Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility security protocols
- Conduct regular patrols and headcounts to maintain order
- Respond to emergencies and incidents with tactical precision
- Document all incidents and maintain accurate reports
- Screen visitors and packages according to federal regulations
- Participate in specialized training programs and drills
- Collaborate with federal law enforcement partners
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship with valid driver's license
- Minimum 21 years of age with high school diploma/GED
- Pass extensive background check and polygraph examination
- Successfully complete physical fitness assessment
- Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays
- Basic computer proficiency and report writing skills
- Valid Texas Peace Officer certification (or obtain within 6 months)
- Ability to carry up to 45 lbs of equipment
