Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze network traffic for security threats using advanced SIEM tools
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal systems
- Develop incident response protocols and coordinate with federal law enforcement
- Implement and maintain NIST-compliant security controls across agency networks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance cybersecurity posture
- Prepare detailed security reports and executive briefings
- Stay current with emerging cyber threats and mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of cybersecurity experience in federal or regulated environments
- Active CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
