Join the frontline of national security as a Federal Cybersecurity Analyst at the Department of Homeland Security. This critical role protects critical infrastructure and federal systems from evolving cyber threats in San Francisco's dynamic tech ecosystem. You'll work alongside industry experts to safeguard sensitive data and ensure operational resilience for federal agencies across California.
Responsibilities
- Monitor federal networks for security breaches and implement real-time incident response protocols
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified systems
- Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies compliant with NIST and FISMA standards
- Collaborate with law enforcement on threat intelligence analysis and cybercrime investigations
- Lead security awareness training programs for federal employees
- Manage security incidents using SIEM platforms and forensic tools
- Prepare comprehensive compliance reports for OMB and congressional oversight
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in federal IT security or DoD/NASA equivalent
- Active CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Expertise in implementing zero-trust architecture and cloud security frameworks
- Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
- Proficiency in CMMC, FedRAMP, and NIST SP 800-53 controls
- Experience with federal contracting regulations (FAR/DFARS)
