Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond to security incidents across federal networks using SIEM platforms
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified systems
- Develop and implement security policies compliant with NIST and FISMA standards
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to coordinate threat intelligence sharing
- Lead incident response activities during cyber-attack events
- Generate detailed security reports for senior leadership and congressional committees
- Maintain compliance with federal IT security regulations (CUI, PII, HIPAA)
Qualifications
- Active CISSP or Security+ CE certification required
- Minimum 5 years experience in federal cybersecurity operations
- Expertise in AWS/Azure cloud security architecture
- Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret
- Proficiency in Splunk, CrowdStrike, and MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field (Master's preferred)
- Experience with FedRAMP and CMMC compliance frameworks
- Strong written communication for security documentation and briefings
