Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and vulnerability scanning of federal networks.
- Implement and monitor security controls in compliance with NIST and DoD directives.
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents and potential threats.
- Manage access control lists and user privileges for sensitive government systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integrity of classified and unclassified data.
- Provide cybersecurity training and briefings to staff members on security best practices.
- Prepare and submit incident reports and compliance documentation to oversight bodies.
Qualifications
- Active Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance (must be willing to obtain/upgrade).
- US Citizenship is required for federal employment.
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certification such as CISSP, Security+, or CEH preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in information security or IT infrastructure management.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
