Responsibilities
- Monitor and mitigate cybersecurity threats to federal networks using SIEM tools
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified systems
- Develop incident response plans for cyber attacks on critical infrastructure
- Ensure compliance with FISMA, NIST, and federal cybersecurity frameworks
- Collaborate with CISA and FBI on threat intelligence sharing
- Train federal staff on cybersecurity best practices
- Manage security audits and remediation documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of cybersecurity experience in federal/government sector
- Security+ CE, CISSP, or GIAC certification required
- Expert knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 controls and FISMA compliance
- Experience with incident response (IR) frameworks and tools
- Active Secret security clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret
- Proficiency in network security, cloud security, and encryption protocols
