Responsibilities
- Analyze complex federal healthcare datasets to identify trends and support strategic decision-making
- Develop interactive dashboards using Tableau/Power BI for VA leadership
- Ensure compliance with federal data security protocols (HIPAA, FISMA)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve veteran care outcomes
- Prepare comprehensive reports for congressional stakeholders and agency leadership
- Automate data workflows using Python/R for operational efficiency
- Conduct statistical analysis to support quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years experience with federal data systems (VA, CMS, or DoD)
- Expert proficiency in SQL, Python, and statistical analysis tools
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain one
- Strong understanding of healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR)
- Experience with federal reporting requirements (OMB, GAO)
- Certification in data visualization (Tableau/Power BI) or analytics
