Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret complex federal datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights for homeland security operations
- Develop and maintain automated data pipelines using Python, SQL, and R to process large-scale security datasets
- Create interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau/Power BI for executive briefings and agency reports
- Ensure strict compliance with federal data privacy regulations (FISMA, HIPAA, FOIA) and security protocols
- Collaborate with policy teams to translate analytical findings into strategic recommendations
- Present findings to senior leadership through concise data narratives and executive summaries
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis with federal government or regulated industries
- Expert proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and statistical analysis tools
- Familiarity with federal data governance frameworks and compliance requirements
- Proven ability to deliver insights from large, unstructured datasets with security classifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Certification in data analytics (e.g., Google Data Analytics, AWS Certified Data Analyst) highly desirable
