Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret large-scale healthcare datasets to identify trends and support veteran care initiatives
- Develop and maintain automated data pipelines using SQL, Python, and R
- Create interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau and Power BI
- Ensure all data practices comply with federal regulations (HIPAA, FISMA, and VA policies)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and deliverables
- Present findings to senior leadership through clear, actionable visualizations
- Maintain data integrity across multiple VA systems and databases
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of professional data analysis experience with federal/government data
- Expert proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and statistical analysis
- Advanced experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Deep understanding of federal data privacy regulations and compliance standards
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in high-stakes environments
