Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret large-scale veteran healthcare datasets to identify trends and anomalies
- Develop automated reporting dashboards using SQL and visualization tools
- Ensure compliance with federal data security protocols (HIPAA, FISMA)
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to define data requirements for program evaluation
- Present findings to senior leadership through executive summaries and data stories
- Maintain data integrity across VA's electronic health record systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Public Health, or related field
- 3+ years of professional data analysis experience with federal datasets
- Expert proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas), and R programming
- Advanced knowledge of Tableau or Power BI for data visualization
- Familiarity with VA systems (CDW, VistA) preferred
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain one
- Strong understanding of healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR)
