Responsibilities
- Analyze federal healthcare datasets using SQL, Python, and R to identify trends and anomalies
- Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau/Power BI for stakeholder presentations
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, FISMA, and other federal data regulations
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to support public health emergency response
- Document methodologies and maintain data quality standards
- Present findings to senior leadership using data-driven storytelling techniques
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Public Health, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience with federal data systems (e.g., CMS, CDC databases)
- Proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas), and statistical analysis tools
- Familiarity with healthcare data standards (ICD-10, HL7)
- Strong understanding of federal data privacy regulations
- Excellent written communication skills for technical documentation
- Ability to work independently with flexible hours
