Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and analyze large-scale federal datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that influence policy.
- Develop interactive data visualization dashboards using Tableau or PowerBI to present findings to senior executives and government stakeholders.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, briefings, and memos that adhere to strict federal formatting and compliance standards.
- Collaborate closely with subject matter experts to translate complex data requirements into technical specifications.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with federal regulations such as NIST and FISMA.
- Perform statistical modeling and forecasting to predict outcomes based on historical performance data.
- Maintain and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure timely data availability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Mandatory: An active Secret or Top Secret clearance is required for this position.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data analysis specifically within the federal government or defense contracting sector.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for advanced data manipulation and statistical analysis.
- Strong working knowledge of SQL and experience querying large relational databases.
- Experience with data warehousing concepts and data governance frameworks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
