Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret large-scale healthcare datasets to identify trends in veteran care outcomes
- Develop automated reporting systems for VA leadership using SQL, Python, and Tableau
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, FISMA, and other federal data security protocols
- Create interactive dashboards for real-time monitoring of VA performance metrics
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements for VA initiatives
- Present findings to senior leadership through executive briefings and written reports
- Maintain data integrity through rigorous quality control procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Public Health, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of data analysis experience in government or regulated healthcare
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and data visualization tools
- Certification in federal data security protocols (e.g., CompTIA Security+)
- Demonstrated experience with healthcare datasets and veteran-specific data systems
- Strong analytical skills with ability to communicate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
