Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret large-scale federal datasets using SQL, Python, and R to identify trends and anomalies
- Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau/Power BI for executive stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with federal data standards (FISMA, HIPAA) and security protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven recommendations
- Automate reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Present findings to senior leadership through concise data narratives
- Maintain data integrity across VA systems and databases
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of professional data analysis experience with federal datasets preferred
- Expert proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and statistical modeling
- Advanced knowledge of data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Familiarity with federal data governance frameworks and compliance standards
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
