Responsibilities
- Process and Review Documents: Accurately process incoming applications, forms, and correspondence related to veteran benefits and federal programs.
- Record Management: Maintain and organize electronic and physical files to ensure data integrity and easy retrieval.
- Customer Assistance: Provide general information and referrals to callers and visitors, directing inquiries to the appropriate departments.
- Data Entry: Input data into federal databases with high precision and adhere to strict security protocols.
- Report Preparation: Assist in the preparation of routine reports and summaries of office activities for management review.
- Compliance: Ensure all work complies with federal regulations, agency policies, and privacy laws.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED). Associate’s degree or relevant vocational training is preferred.
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Experience: No prior federal experience required; entry-level candidates welcome.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations.
