Responsibilities
- Conduct environmental impact assessments for federal land management projects
- Ensure compliance with NEPA, ESA, and other federal environmental regulations
- Develop and implement conservation strategies for protected areas
- Collaborate with state agencies and tribal partners on resource management
- Prepare technical reports and policy recommendations for senior leadership
- Lead field investigations in remote and challenging terrains
- Maintain accurate environmental databases and documentation systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of environmental policy or natural resource management experience
- Strong knowledge of federal environmental regulations (NEPA, ESA, CWA)
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel 20% of the time
- Proficiency in GIS software and environmental data analysis tools
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass federal background check
- Demonstrated experience with environmental documentation preparation
- Ability to obtain and maintain federal security clearance
