Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and federal regulations.
- Manage the budget execution process, ensuring accurate forecasting and variance analysis.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with agency policies and legal requirements.
- Oversee the reconciliation of bank accounts and credit card statements.
- Prepare reports for senior management and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).
- Assist in the development of long-term financial plans and strategic goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- 3-5 years of progressively responsible accounting experience in a professional environment.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) designation preferred.
- Strong knowledge of federal accounting standards and procurement regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to obtain a favorable background investigation clearance.
