Responsibilities
- Develop evidence-based health policy recommendations for federal/state healthcare initiatives
- Analyze healthcare data trends and prepare comprehensive policy briefings for congressional committees
- Coordinate interagency health emergency response protocols across North Carolina
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with healthcare providers, community organizations, and industry partners
- Monitor implementation of Affordable Care Act provisions and Medicare/Medicaid programs
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses for proposed healthcare regulatory changes
- Mentor junior staff through federal internship programs and rotational assignments
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Health Policy, Healthcare Administration, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in federal/state healthcare policy development
- Expertise in healthcare data analysis using SAS, R, or SPSS
- Knowledge of CMS regulations, HIPAA compliance, and ACA implementation
- Superior written/verbal communication skills with policy writing experience
- Active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one
- U.S. citizenship required for federal employment
