Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the implementation of the Information Security Program in accordance with NIST 800-53 and Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) requirements.
- Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and risk analysis to identify potential threats to federal systems.
- Ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) directives and agency-specific security policies.
- Coordinate with auditors and external stakeholders to maintain successful security accreditation (AOL/SOA).
- Manage security incident response plans and lead post-incident reviews.
- Administer user access controls, ensuring the principle of least privilege is enforced.
- Provide security awareness training to staff on federal cybersecurity protocols.
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret security clearance with favorable adjudication.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent years of experience).
- Certification such as CISSP, CISM, or Security+ is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal information security management or system administration.
- Strong knowledge of network security architecture and secure coding practices.
- Excellent communication skills to present complex security findings to senior leadership.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
