Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain federal IT security policies (NIST, FISMA) across classified and unclassified systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on agency networks
- Lead incident response coordination for security breaches and cyber-attacks
- Develop security awareness training programs for federal personnel
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams on threat intelligence sharing
- Manage encryption systems and access control mechanisms
- Prepare compliance reports for OMB and congressional oversight
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required with ability to obtain Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in IT security with federal compliance experience
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, and CEH required
- Expertise in network security tools (SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Knowledge of CMMC, FedRAMP, and DFARS frameworks
- Strong analytical skills for threat modeling and risk assessment
