Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive information security policies aligned with NIST and FISMA standards
- Conduct regular risk assessments and penetration testing for federal systems
- Lead incident response teams during cybersecurity breaches and emergencies
- Collaborate with IT departments to integrate security measures into system architectures
- Train federal personnel on security best practices and compliance requirements
- Monitor security alerts using advanced SIEM tools and threat intelligence platforms
- Prepare detailed security reports and compliance documentation for federal audits
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years of information security experience in government or regulated industries
- Active CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification
- Expertise in NIST SP 800-53 security controls framework
- Strong knowledge of FISMA compliance requirements
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network security tools
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
