Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize secure federal IT systems including EHR platforms and network infrastructure
- Implement cybersecurity protocols in compliance with FISMA and NIST standards
- Provide Tier-3 technical support for 500+ users across multiple VA facilities
- Lead system upgrades and migrations for critical veteran healthcare applications
- Coordinate with federal IT teams on cross-agency technology initiatives
- Document system configurations and maintain compliance with federal IT policies
- Train staff on new technologies and IT security best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in enterprise IT infrastructure management
- Active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- CompTIA Security+ and AWS Certified Solutions Architect certifications
- Experience with HIPAA-compliant healthcare systems
- Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies
- Strong understanding of federal IT compliance frameworks (FISMA, FedRAMP)
- Excellent problem-solving and documentation skills
