Responsibilities
- System Administration: Oversee the day-to-day operations of local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs), ensuring high availability and performance for federal clients.
- Cybersecurity: Implement and monitor security measures to protect the organization's computer systems, networks, and data from cyber threats and unauthorized access.
- Project Management: Lead IT projects from initiation through completion, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within budget using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues, providing technical support to internal staff and stakeholders.
- Compliance: Ensure all IT operations adhere to federal regulations, security standards (e.g., FISMA), and agency policies.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of system configurations, network diagrams, and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Clearance: Must be willing and able to obtain a Public Trust or Secret Security Clearance.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in federal IT environments, network administration, or systems engineering.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Python, SQL, and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Security Certification: CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification is a strong plus.
