Responsibilities
- Network Administration: Design, configure, and troubleshoot complex network systems to ensure 99.9% uptime for federal systems.
- Cybersecurity Compliance: Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive federal data in accordance with NIST and OMB guidelines.
- System Integration: Oversee the integration of new hardware and software solutions into existing legacy federal environments.
- Technical Support: Provide Level 3 support and mentorship to junior IT staff, resolving critical hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain robust disaster recovery plans to safeguard critical agency assets against cyber threats and system failures.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of specialized experience in network engineering, system administration, or IT support within a federal or government environment.
- Certifications: Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one; CompTIA Security+ or CISSP preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, Cisco networking, and cloud technologies (AWS/Azure).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
