We are seeking a highly skilled Federal Information Technology Specialist to join our mission-critical team in Raleigh, North Carolina. As a key member of our IT infrastructure division, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure federal information systems. This role is pivotal in supporting our mission to serve veterans and ensuring the integrity of sensitive federal data.
In this position, you will work within a dynamic federal environment, adhering to strict security protocols and compliance standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency and data security for federal operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage and troubleshoot complex federal IT systems, including servers, networks, and workstations.
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity protocols in strict compliance with federal and agency regulations.
- Provide advanced technical support and training to federal employees regarding hardware and software usage.
- Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and system performance monitoring.
- Collaborate with project managers and technical leads to plan and execute IT infrastructure upgrades.
- Document system configurations, incidents, and resolutions to maintain an accurate IT knowledge base.
Qualifications
- United States Citizenship is required for this position.
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance is mandatory.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of progressive experience in federal IT environments or federal contracting.
- Strong knowledge of DoD Information Assurance (IA) requirements and NIST standards.
- Proficiency in managing Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server, and Cisco networking equipment.
