Responsibilities
- System Monitoring & Maintenance: Oversee the health and performance of federal IT systems, servers, and networks during weekend operations to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Ticket Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve Level 3 IT support tickets and service requests submitted by federal staff with urgency and precision.
- Security Compliance: Enforce federal security protocols and conduct vulnerability assessments to safeguard sensitive government data.
- Data Management: Manage and back up critical databases and document repositories according to strict federal retention policies.
- Incident Response: Lead weekend incident response teams to mitigate system outages and restore services immediately.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed logs of system activities, security events, and maintenance schedules for audit readiness.
Qualifications
- Certification: Active Top Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one (TS/SCI preferred).
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in federal IT environments or similar high-security sectors.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and cloud technologies (Azure/AWS).
- Process Knowledge: Deep understanding of ITIL frameworks and Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
