Responsibilities
- Design and implement NIST-compliant cybersecurity frameworks for federal systems
- Conduct risk assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure networks
- Lead incident response coordination during security breaches and cyber attacks
- Manage Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) compliance documentation
- Develop security awareness training programs for federal personnel
- Collaborate with DHS and partner agency security teams on joint initiatives
- Monitor emerging threats and provide real-time mitigation recommendations
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI security clearance (required)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in federal IT security roles
- Certification in CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+
- Expertise in FISMA and NIST 800-53 frameworks
- Strong knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK methodologies
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) environments
- Ability to obtain and maintain DHS-specific security credentials
