Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure network architectures compliant with NIST and DoD standards
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal systems
- Develop incident response plans and lead security breach mitigation
- Manage identity and access control systems for classified and unclassified networks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure continuous security monitoring
- Stay current with emerging threats and update security protocols accordingly
- Prepare compliance documentation for federal audits and certifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in IT security with federal systems
- Active DoD Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- CompTIA Security+ and CISSP certifications preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, ArcSight)
- Knowledge of FISMA, NIST 800-53, and RMF frameworks
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
