Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain federal IT security protocols across classified and unclassified systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM tools and respond to incidents within SLA requirements
- Develop and update security policies compliant with NIST and FISMA standards
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams during cybersecurity drills and real-world incidents
- Train federal staff on security best practices and emerging threats
- Manage access control systems and conduct regular audits
Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance (required)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 5+ years experience in IT security with federal/government environment
- CompTIA Security+ and CISSP certifications (or equivalent)
- Expertise in network security, encryption, and threat detection systems
- Experience with FedRAMP compliance frameworks
- Strong analytical skills for complex threat mitigation
- Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance if not already held
