Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize federal IT infrastructure including servers, networks, and cybersecurity systems
- Implement and maintain compliance with Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) standards
- Provide technical support for VA healthcare applications and veteran-facing digital platforms
- Lead system upgrades and migrations while ensuring minimal service disruption
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop IT solutions aligned with VA mission goals
- Document system configurations, procedures, and incident reports
- Stay current on federal IT policies and emerging technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in federal IT systems administration
- Active Security+ CE certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies
- Demonstrated knowledge of NIST cybersecurity frameworks
- Experience with federal IT procurement processes and documentation
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a regulated environment
