Responsibilities
- Oversee the lifecycle management of federal information systems, ensuring 100% availability and security compliance.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies in accordance with FISMA and NIST standards.
- Collaborate with agency stakeholders to translate technical requirements into actionable system configurations.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues for internal and external users.
- Manage access control lists and ensure strict adherence to cybersecurity protocols.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation for internal audits and government inspections.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members.
Qualifications
- Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in federal IT support or systems administration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS or Azure) within a government context.
- Strong understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and ITIL best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
