Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the agency's network infrastructure, including servers, routers, and switches, ensuring 99.9% uptime.
- Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive federal data against cyber threats and unauthorized access.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and support end-user hardware and software systems across multiple federal sites.
- Conduct regular system audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with FISMA and NIST standards.
- Collaborate with project managers to plan, schedule, and execute IT upgrades and system migrations.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff members and federal stakeholders.
- Document all system changes, configurations, and incident reports in accordance with federal record-keeping requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Active Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in IT systems administration or network engineering.
- Experience with federal IT systems and knowledge of Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, or Bash).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government-issued Common Access Card (CAC).
